SPIRITUAL WELLNESS

  •  What is spiritual wellness?
  • How does In Day's Care help me with my spiritual wellness journey?
In Day's Care LLC specializes in many services geared towards cultivating spiritual wellness.  When you reserve any one of our services we create a tailored healing experience based on your specific needs.  We work with you to create habits of change, and empower you with the tools you need to cultivate your own spiritual wellness long beyond our sessions.
Each product is created with the intention of helping others easily incorporate spiritual wellness into their existing lifestyles, simply and sustainably.  Our products are 100% all natural and handmade.  They are expertly formulated by our founder, Dayelle Harris.
  • How do I know I need to go on a spiritual journey or further cultivate my spiritual wellness?
There is no one size fits all answer to this question.  This all depends on your own individual circumstances and desire to change your quality of life.  I can say that, you will notice an unwavering need for change.  You may be called to research different topics you previously had no interest in before.  There may also be a shift and you may become hyper aware or sensitive to the energy and actions of others.  You may feel stuck or need to protect yourself.  All these feelings are manifestations of an imbalance between the mind, body, and spirit. You must realign each or all in order to realize optimal spiritual wellness.
  • What is Reiki Healing?
Reiki is the ancient practice of energy healing that focuses on unlocking the energy of each chakra through intention, chanting, and more.  Reiki healing is an effective tool at regulating your chakra energies and subtle bodies.
  • What is Crystal Healing?
Crystal Healing is the practice of healing energetic blockages through out the body by placing specific crystal around the body.  Each crystal is chosen based on the client's desire outcome of the session.  For example, I would not select the same crystal specimens for a client looking to relieve stress that I would use for a client looking to build their self esteem and self love.  Similar to Reiki, Crystal Healing focuses on unblocking the energetic flow of each chakra while also taking into consideration the client's lifestyle, reservations or fears, as well their future goals for themselves.

HOLISTIC HEALING

  •  What is holistic healing?
  • What is the difference between traditional medicine and holistic healing?
Traditional medicine tends to focus on the ailments and symptoms of an individual.  These solutions tend to be small, quick fixes and these symptoms are usually the physical manifestation of a deeper underlying issue.  A holistic approach to healing focuses on the individual, entirely.  By focusing on the mind, body and spirit, we are able to create a more tailored and personalized healing plan.  This type of healing is usually long term and requires lifestyle changes. These changes bring about harmony of the mind, body, and spirit.  Thus, holistic healing is preventative care as well.
  • Are herbalist medical doctors?
Herbalist are not doctors or medical professions.  We have a unique set of skills and learned knowledge that we can use to help treat ailments.
  • What is an herbalist?
  • Why would I need a herbalist?
If you are seeking a healthier lifestyle or some support to an existing treatment plan an herbalist can suggest some complementary herbal treatments for you.
  • What is Integrative Herbalism?
Integrative Herbalism is the practice of incorporating astrological herbalism, folk herbalism into your existing lifestyle. Slowly, clients will build the habits and confidence to hone in on their needs and incorporate herbalism into their spiritual wellness journey.
  • Why do I need meditation?

DOULA SERVICES

  • What is a doula?
  • What is the difference between an antepartum, postpartum, and labor doula?
An Antepartum Doula is here to help  parents cope with pregnancy and prepare for baby.   Antepartum doulas best serve first time moms, moms who's pregnancies are considered high risk, moms who plan to deliver at home, moms planning vaginal births after C-sections (VBAC), in vitro conceptions, and any mom that has experience previous pregnancy trauma.

Birth Doulas are sometimes referred to as childbirth assistants, labor support professionals, birth assistants, or birth companions.  Birth Doulas assist from the beginning to the end. We’ll visit you before you’re due to give birth, and after to help with the transition for mommy & baby! We help you with everything from creating birth plans and comfort plans, to labor & delivery coaching.

Postpartum Doulas step in after Mommy’s done the heavy lifting of giving birth. We can visit you immediately after delivery, or once you’ve settled in back home. We assist in breastfeeding, infant care, and even light house cleaning! Any thing to help assist in your postpartum healing.
  • Why should I hire a doula?
A doula's main goal is to ensure their client is safe, educated, empowered, and happy with their pregnancy, or labor & delivery, or postpartum experience.  You can tell a doula your main concerns and they will work with you and medical staff to bring them to fruition.
  • What services does a doula provide?
There are many different types of doulas to fit your needs.  You can hire a doula for before, during, or after your pregnancy.
  • How do I choose a doula that's the right fit?
Though doulas generally offer the  same types of services, we suggest an in-person consultation to get to know your doula better.  Find out their best practices and what services they can specifically provide your family.  You should hire the doula that feels right for you, whether it's the first one you've met or the millionth.
  • Can I have a doula if I want an epidural or other pain medication?
Doulas are there to support you through your labor and delivery, no matter your choices or birth plan.  The goal is to educate and empower families to achieve the most desirable birthing experience.
  • Can I have a doula if I plan to have a C-section?
The same practice for pain medication applies to medical intervention during pregnancy. A doula's job is support the family through labor and deliver, not to place judgement.  A doula will not try to push their views or ideals on their clients.
  • Why do I need a doula if I have my partner/family for support?
Doulas are trained to empower and educate moms and their support persons.   A doula can support you by providing your partner/family with techniques to better support you during your pregnancy, labor & delivery, and postpartum recovery.
  • Can I pay for a doula using my insurance?
Some doulas accept insurance.  It is best to check with your insurance provider to confirm what your plan covers.
